There’s nothing worse than a ten step application process when trying to balance university and the job search, and nobody wants to go through a long and daunting assessment centre. That’s why we aim to make the application process to the Halo Grad Scheme as simple as possible. We’ve streamlined our recruitment process to ensure that candidates are evaluated efficiently without unnecessary hurdles, minimising barriers to entry and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to join us.
Submit your application
The first step in the application process for Halo Grad Scheme is to complete our online form. You’ll be asked briefly about your studies and previous jobs, which we’ll use to gauge your suitability for the role. If your credentials align well with us, you’ll receive an email requesting you to send over your CV. Here, we want you to showcase your academic achievements, work experience, and any extracurricular activities that demonstrate your skills and potential. We want an insight into how your experiences and motivations align with the role.
Screening call
If your CV catches the attention of the hiring team, you’ll be invited to an informal 10 minute screening call to discuss your application in more detail. This is an opportunity for the company to learn more about your background and why you’ve applied to Halo, as well as for you to ask any questions you may have about the role or the company culture.
In-person interview
If you pass the screening call, you may be invited for an in-person interview at our Stowmarket office, usually taking no longer than an hour. This is largely an opportunity for us to get to know you, and get a feel for how you would fit in with the team, and for you to showcase your skills and personality. You’ll also get to have a look around the office to see how we all work, and help you determine whether Halo is a good fit for you (and, of course, check our slide and the office bar!).
After the interview, the hiring team will have a chat about your suitability for the role, and get in touch to let you know whether you’ve been offered a role in the graduate scheme. If you’re successful, we’ll arrange a date for you to begin your journey at Halo. We have small groups of graduates joining at the beginning of each month, so you’ll get the option to start sooner or later, depending on your studies and future plans.
