Meet the Graduate
Gianmarco Rubino, Consultant
In 2020, Gianmarco Rubino, a University of Exeter graduate, joined Halo Service Solutions on the graduate programme. Less than one year later, he now plays a key role at Halo, working as a consultant at the Halo Headquarters in Stowmarket, England.
“Having recently completed the Halo Graduate Scheme, it is fair to say that it exceeded all my expectations in terms of personal and professional development. Due to the nature of our company, I was able to immediately understand which sets of skills are required in each department and therefore make a tailored decision as to where my strengths can be more impactful. During the first few months, I had the chance to interact with everyone in the company and fully understand how it operates, as well as what the day-to-day for each position entails. As most people, I felt like I was leaving university without a clear idea of which path to take for my career. However, everyone at Halo gave me the time and tools I needed to head in the right direction.
Having decided to become a Consultant, I focus mainly on the onboarding of new clients and tailoring our products for their different needs. My transition was made easy by the high degree of customer interaction during the whole scheme, which allowed me to build my confidence and knowledge in a sphere I was not at all accustomed to. I would say that the biggest difference-maker was the way in which I was valued since my early days at Halo, as it really felt like I had the chance to make my voice heard in terms of my own progression and also take real responsibility to prove my abilities. Today, I feel like although I have joined the company less than a year I can clearly sense the value that I bring and the way in which I continue to build my knowledge on a daily basis.”
